Submission Information
Who can Submit?
Researchers, scientists, industry practitioners, students, and professionals are welcome to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.
Submissions should present original research, innovative applications, or emerging perspectives related to lactic acid bacteria (LAB), particularly indigenous LAB and their contributions to health, food systems, agriculture, biotechnology, and sustainability.

How to Submit
Prepare your abstract using the official ACLAB 16 Abstract Template. [Download Template]
Write your abstract in clear and concise English.
Abstracts must present original and unpublished work. Studies that have been previously presented at another international conference must be substantially updated before submission.
Include the following in your abstract:
Background
Objectives
Methodology
Key Results
Conclusions
Significance of the Study
Indicate your preferred presentation format:
Oral Presentation
Poster Presentation
Submit your abstract through the official ACLAB 16 Submission Portal.
Abstracts that do not follow the prescribed format may be returned for revision or rejected.
Poster Paper Competition
Eligibility
The Poster Paper Competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students who are:
Currently enrolled; or
Within one (1) year after graduation

Upload the following as one (1) PDF file in the Abstract Submission Portal:
Proof of enrolment OR Certificate of Graduation/Completion
Certification from Research Adviser [Download Template]
Competition Guidelines
The presenting author must be officially registered for the conference.
The research must be the original work of the participant.
Entries must be derived from undergraduate or graduate-level studies
Topics must be related to probiotics and functional foods
Research must not have been previously published or presented in any national or international conference.
Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification will result in automatic disqualification.
File Naming Format
For competing posters, use the following filename format:
Poster_LastName_TypeOfEntry
Example: Poster_Cruz_Competing
Review and Acceptance
All abstracts will undergo peer review by the Scientific Committee based on:
Scientific quality
Relevance to the conference theme
Originality and innovation
Clarity of presentation
Acceptance notifications will be sent to the corresponding author via email.
The Scientific Committee reserves the right to determine the final presentation format (oral or poster).
Registration Requirement
At least one (1) author of each accepted abstract must register for the conference for inclusion in the conference program and proceedings.
